Renewable energy generation projects at Liddell Power Station, the Hunter Valley....have also attracted funding.
Treasurer Eric Roozendaal has announced more than $1.4 billion in capital expenditure for the Hunter, with a third of that going towards keeping the lights on.
Securing the state's power supply has been prioritised, with $515 million to be spent on electricity upgrades in the Hunter, including $75 million for eight new substations.
